# Accessibility statement

AppointAuto aims to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. The directory pages are plain HTML: every shop's phone, address, hours and directions are text, readable by screen readers and usable with a keyboard alone, and the site works without JavaScript.

## What we do

- Headings, lists and tables carry real structure; links say where they go ("Call (408) 555-0100", "Google Maps directions").
- Text and buttons keep at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio, and the layout works at 320 px wide and at 200% zoom.
- Maps load only when you ask, and the address is always given as text next to them.
- Forms label every field and report errors in text.

## Known limits

- The sign-in, "My garage" and shop-owner panel are a JavaScript app; they are keyboard-usable, but some dialogs do not yet announce themselves to screen readers.
- Photos uploaded by shop owners have no descriptive alternative text yet.
